Maid-of-Honor
Annie has known Emily for literally her entire life, and couldn’t be happier to call her gorgeous, talented and hilarious sister her Maid-of-Honor! Throughout the many years, the pair has bonded over New Kids on the Block (music, humans and dolls), circus shows with Timmy, Boy Meets World re-runs, FFF (forced family fun), and have been known to spontaneously burst into song at any given moment. Those chances are even higher if there is a piano nearby as Emily is an extraordinary pianist. Emily recently earned her masters in music education and is currently living in Marblehead. She is a music teacher in Lynn. Through thick and thin Emily and Annie will be found laughing at something ridiculous that no one else understands.
Joanna and Annie met in Mrs. Fardy’s first grade class. Joanna always seemed to do everything right (she’s pretty much perfect) and Annie was jealous of that. However, soon the jealously subsided as more important business came up such as “the rock” and honeybees. The friendship continued to grow stronger and the two could often be spotted together with the Fab Four, at sleepovers, traveling to and from school, in chorus, drama, driver’s ed, youth group, Weytown hang-outs and classes. Joanna currently lives in Kingston with her husband, Mike. Annie and Joanna both became Elementary School teachers in nearby towns and will be friends forever.
Jen and Annie met the first day of freshmen year at Providence College. As neighbors, they became fast friends and decided to live together with Alecia sophomore year. Sophomore year was really fun with time to spend hours in Ray, dance at Clubbies, giggle at costume parties, eat Golden Crust, stay up late chatting and become best friends. Junior year they decided to add some adventure and culture to their routine and took their act abroad to Florence, Italy. They graduated college as roommates and both decided to move to Southie where they still live today. Jen is the beautiful, athletic, brunette teacher who loves country and math. She’s basically the opposite of Annie, but their friendship could never be broken.
Alecia and Annie also met the first day of freshmen year as she and Jen were roommates and Annie was their lucky neighbor. Sparks flew when they both discovered their affinity for theatre, the movie Heart and Souls, and obscure French dinner party music. Soon the pair became inseparable and it wouldn’t be hard for you find them skipping through campus arm in arm belting out Rent. This is actually something they still do in whatever city they happen to be in together. Alecia has a knack for making every experience more fun and beautiful and is probably the least medium-faced person Annie knows. She is brilliant and the two never get tired of speaking to each other in half-sentences that the other person immediately understands. Alecia currently lives in NYC with her fiancé (Ek!), Stephen. Annie wouldn’t dream of walking down the aisle without Alecia by her side.
Annie won the future sister-in-law lottery and could not be more thrilled to become close with Billy’s sister, Becca. Becca basically excels at everything she does and Annie isn’t sure how so many exceptional qualities can exist in just one tiny person. Becca is smart, outgoing, generous, athletic, and an artistic supermodel who has also become Annie’s beauty consultant. When Annie leaves the house she often mutters to herself, “WWBD” (What would Becca do?) and then does just that. Becca works at Wayfair and also lives in Southie, so the two always find time to catch-up over dinner and cocktails.
Adding tremendous value to the future-sister-in law lottery, Annie is so happy to call Billy’s youngest sister Caryn, her family. Caryn might actually be the coolest MacDonald sibling (sorry guys) and can always be counted on with her kind heart, adventurous spirit and beautiful smile. Spending time with Caryn is always relaxed and stress-free. Even though Caryn is collectively the youngest sibling, Annie looks up to her and loves to hear her stories about traveling, living abroad and basically conquering and saving the world. Caryn is a recent WPI graduate who lives in Somerville and currently works at Wright-Pierce. Annie cannot wait to dance the night away with Caryn on the big day.
